Bangladesh vs New Zealand, 3rd ODI: Will Young and Henry Nicholls’s Half-Century and Milne’s Four Wickets Powered NZ to 7-Wicket Win

Bangladesh and New Zealand came against each other in the 3rd ODI of the series at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first.

Tanzid Hasan and Zakir Hasan came to bat and Boult opened the bowling attack. In the 1st over, Tanzid Hasan hit a four on the third ball, which was the first boundary of the match. In the 2nd over, Zakir Hasan got out after scoring 1(5) on the third ball. In the 3rd over, Tanzid Hasan got out after scoring 5(5) on the first ball and Towhid Hridoy hit a four on the second ball. In the 6th over,  Towhid Hridoy hit a four on the second ball and got out after scoring 18(17) on the third ball. In the 7th over, Shanto started the over with a four and he hit two fours in the next over.  He hit four in the 9th over and Bangladesh reached 50 runs. He hit two more fours in the next over. When Bangladesh was struggling, Shnato hit some beautiful boundaries. After 10 overs, BAN was at 62-3.

Mushfiqur also followed the path of Shanto and hit one six in each 13th and 14th over. In the 16th over, Mushfiqur got out after scoring 18(25) on the first ball. In the 20th over, Shanto took a single on the fifth ball and scored a half-century. In the 24th over, Mahmudullah smashed two back-to-back fours and got out in the next over. After 25 overs, Bangladesh was at 140-5.

In the 27th over, Shanto hit a four on the third ball and Bangladesh reached 150 runs. In the 28th over, Mahedi Hasan hit a four on the fourth ball and got out after scoring 13(14) on the fifth ball. In the 32th over, Shanto got out after scoring 76(84) on the second ball. In the 33th over, Hasan Mahmud got out after scoring 1(2) on the first ball. In the 34th over, Nasum Ahmed got out after scoring 7(19) on the fourth ball. In the 35th over, Shoriful Islam got out after scoring 1(10) on the third ball.

In 34.3 overs, Bangladesh got all out at 171 runs.

Chasing 172 runs, Finn Allen and Will Young came to bat and Shoriful Islam opened the bowling attack. In the 1st over, Finn Allen hit back-to-back three fours. In the 9th over, Will Young started the over with a four and Finn Allen hit a four on the fifth ball. In the 10th over, Finn Allen got out after scoring 28(26) and Foxcroft got out for a duck on the third ball. After 10 overs, NZ was at 49-2.

In the 11th over, Will Young took a single on the first ball and New Zealand reached 50 runs. In the 14th over, Will Young hit back-to-back two fours. In the 24th over, New Zealand reached 100 runs. In the 25th over, Will Young hit a four and scored a half-century. After 25 overs, NZ was at 105-2.

In the 26th over, Will Young finished the over with back-to-back two fours. In the 28th over, Will Young started the over with back-to-back two boundaries. In the 30th over, Will Young got out after scoring 70(80) on the first ball. In the 33th over, Nicholls started the over with back-to-back two boundaries and New Zealand reached 150 runs. In the 34th over, Blundell hit two fours on the second and last ball. In the 35th over, Nicholls started the over with a four and took a single on the second ball and scored a half-century. Blundell hit a four on the fifth ball, which was the winning boundary. NZ scored 175-3 and won the match by 7 wickets.
