Chennai Super Kings Won the IPL Title for the Fifth Time 

Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings came against each other in the final of IPL 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill came to bat and Deepak Chahar opened the bowling attack. In the 3rd over, Saha started the over with a six and hit back-to-back two fours. In the 4th over, Shubman Gill hit back-to-back three fours. In the 6th over, GT reached 50 runs and Shubman Gill hit back-to-back three fours. After 6 overs, GT was at 62-0.

In the 7th over, Shubman Gill got out after scoring 39(20) on the last ball. In the 9th over, Saha started the over with a four. In the 12th over, Sai Sudharsan started the over with a four and GT reached 100 runs. In the 13th over, Saha hit a four on the third ball and scored a half-century and Sai Sudharsan hit a six on the fifth ball. In the 14th over, Saha got out after scoring 54(39) on the last ball. In the 15th over, Sai Sudharsan hit two sixes. After 15 overs, GT was at 143-2.

 

In the 16th over, Sai Sudharsan hit a four on the third ball and scored a half-century and hit a four on the next ball and GT reached 150 runs. In the 17th over, Sai Sudharsan hit back-to-back four boundaries. In the 18th over, Hardik Pandya took a double and the partnership between Hardik Pandya and Sai Sudharsan reached 50 runs. In the 19th over, Hardik Pandya started the over with a six, Sai Sudharsan hit a four on the fourth ball, and Hardik Pandya finished the over with a six. With this six, GT reached 200 runs. In the 20th over, Sai Sudharsan started the over with back-to-back two sixes and got out after scoring 96(47) on the third ball and Rashid Khan got out for a duck.

In 20 overs, Gujarat Titans scored 214 runs with a loss of 4 wickets.

Chasing 215 runs, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway came to bat and Mohammed Shami opened the bowling attack. In the 1st over, Gaikwad hit two fours. In the 2nd over, Conway smashed two boundaries. In the 3rd over, Conway hit back-to-back two fours. In the 4th over, Conway started the over with a four and Gaikwad finished the over with back-to-back two boundaries and CSK reached 50 runs. In the 6th over, Conway finished the over with a six. After 6 overs, CSK was at 72-0.

In the 7th over, Gaikwad got out after scoring 26(16) on the third ball and Conway got out after scoring 47(25) on the last ball. In the 8th over, Rahane smashed two sixes. In the 9th over, Rahane finished the over with back-to-back two fours. In the 11th over, Rahane got out after scoring 27(13) on the fifth ball. In the 12th over, Shivam Dube finished the over with back-to-back two sixes. After 12 overs, CSK was at 133-3.

In the 13th over, Rayudu started the over with back-to-back three boundaries and got out after scoring 19(8) on the fourth ball and MSD got out for a duck on the next ball. CSK scored 171-5 and won the match by 5 wickets.
