West Indies vs India, 2nd Test, Day 5: Match Ended on Draw Due to Rain; India Won the Series by 1-0

At the end of day 4, West Indies was at 76-2, Jermaine Blackwood and Tagenarine Chanderpaul were playing at 20(39) and 24(98), respectively.

Day 5 couldn’t start due to the rain and the match ended in a draw. India was in a dominating position and they required only 8 wickets to win the match but rain saved West Indies from a white wash. India won the series by 1-0.

West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first. On day 1, India batted first and posted 288 runs on the scoreboard. Jaiswal scored a half-century and skipper Rohit Sharma also contributed with his half-century. Virat Kohli also registered his half-century.

On day 2, India Posted 438 runs and Virat Kohli registered a century. Ravindra Jadeja also contributed with a half-century. West Indies scored 86-1. India was in the big lead at the end of day 2.

On day 3, rain impacted the match and the umpire called the day off early. Brathwaite scored a half-century and West Indies posted 229-5.

On day 4, West Indies added 26 runs on the scorecard from day 3 and got all out at 255. India played very fast and declared their inning at 181-2. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan scored a half-century. West Indies scored 76-2 in their final innings.
